A GLOBAL PLAGUE

It is now a global threat, but recently Kenya's government seemed to haven't taken any measure to prevent it even though a World health Organization had created a public awareness. Corona virus which is scientifically termed as COVID-19 is now a headline of every Continent, Country,City and towns. Despite its concerns on how it spread, the greatest nightmare is not the virus itself but the threats, rumours and stigma. In a few hours ago, the first death from the epidemic have been recorded in Africa where by a German tourist died of the novel Corona virus in a Sinai resort in Eastern Egypt. According to the health ministry in Egypt, the 60- year old German citizen showed symptoms of a fever and was later checked into Hurghada hospital on 6th March before testing positive for COVID-19. This comes few weeks ago after another German citizen was suspected to have shown signs of the virus in Nyali, Mombasa county where the reports was later dismissed by the Mombasa Chief Health Officer,Dr Khadija Shakily.
Up-to-date the virus is reported to have surpassed 110,099 people worldwide and more than 3,800 have died as outbreaks continue to spread around the world.
